One of the main attractions of Yerevan is the Cascade Complex - a park made to look like an open-air museum where sculptures by famous sculptors line the paths that lead to the "cascading" building. Escalators within convey visitors to the top of the building. On the ascent, more exhibits can be seen. Featured is the Big Blue Kiwi.

On a clear day, Mt Ararat, with its twin peaks, can be beheld in awe from the Cascade Complex.

A book stall in Vernissage, a Sunday market, selling all sorts of wares. Many people visit and browse the items to find something worthwhile

Republic Square fountain. At night the fountains dance; now they glisten in the afternoon sun.
It is another big attraction that draws large crowds most days.
The History Museum of Yerevan where the Areni-1 shoe is kept.

Republic Square in Yerevan. It was called Lenin Square before the country gained independence from Russia in 1991. Republic Square is bound by Government House, the History Museum, the National Gallery, the Marriot Hotel (Yerevan) and two buildings that used to house government ministries.
