A statue of Sir David Livingstone at Cathedral Square, Glasgow. He lived from 1813 -1873 and was a Scottish missionary, doctor, abolitionist and explorer. In 1855, he "discovered" Victoria Falls and named it after the queen.

The Glasgow Cathedral in Cathedral Square.

On the way back to Edinburgh, I managed to get a shot of two horse heads called "The Kelpies", the largest equine sculptures in the World. Standing at 100 ft tall and weighing more than 300 tonnes each, they are considered a man-made wonder and an engineering feat. They are found in the Helix Park, near Falkirk,, which incorporates an adventure play park.

Dishoom Restaurant in Edinburgh serves authentic and delicious Indian food. It has a few outlets in the UK which are well patronised.

Their bar is very well stocked up too.

Chicken Nasi Briyani and fried ladies' fingers with a special chutney.

As most castles do, Edinburgh Castle is built on a solid foundation of rock.

From our hotel window, the UK Government Building and above it, Edinburgh Castle and Carlton Hill.
Why did I use the terms "certain" or "uncertain weather"? We left Edinburgh in the rain and returned in the rain. So, Scottish weather is certain if one expects that it will rain most of the time or uncertain  when it is expected to rain, the weather is fair or vice versa. Scotland is more suitable for those who are hale and hearty and like outdoor activities.
