This is the tallest Guan Yin statue in Vietnam located at Linh Un Pagoda. Its location enables it to overlook Danang to protect it. Ostensibly, the project was funded by Vietnamese who have been successful doing business overseas.

From Linh Un Pagoda, the statue overlooks Danang City.

My Khe Beach in Danang runs for a distance of some 35 km from Hai Van Pass to Non Nouc, Danang. It used to be called China Beach but Vietnam renamed it to show national pride. What used to be villages and plantations on the beach front have been rapidly developed mainly as hotels and restaurants. Danang has ambitions to develop itself to be like Singapore as it is a fast-growing city. Photo credit: Choi Ee

From My Khe Beach, the Guan Yin statue at Linh Un Pagoda is visible.

Just like in Nha Trang, the beach here is well used for swimming and playing games like beach volleyball, exercises, etc.

In case you are wondering what these round "baskets" are, they are actually boats used by fishermen to commute to and from their fishing boats anchored further offshore. Seems to be unique to Vietnam.

As far as I could see, the waves were not high enough, but this eager beaver was undaunted! Photo credit: Choi Ee

Dragon Bridge is iconic and is a favourite with locals and visitors alike. Every weekend, at about 2100 hours, the Dragon will spew "fire". With the bridge brightly lit by LED lights, it is a sight to behold. Photo credit: Choi Ee

Seems like Dragon Bridge is popular with young couples to make their pledges, seal them with locks and then have the keys thrown into the river. Photo credit: Choi Ee

Chicken seller at the Han Market in Danang. Just a table and she is in business! Photo credit: Choi Ee

Vegetables sellers appear to be itinerant. they need even less furniture than the chicken seller. Photo credit: Choi Ee.

Entrance to Bana Hills, located at a height of 1,487m, is called "Heaven on Earth" because of its weather which may see different seasons in one day. It was built as a French-inspired fun place with accommodation, dining and wining, a "French village and gardens" and recreational activities for both young and old. There is a Jurassic-themed Park and Fantasy Park- for children - and a wax museum for famous people Worldwide. Of course, lodging here will be relatively expensive but for the weather and dining and/wining, visitors may be willing. ,Nearby, there is also a golf club named Ba Na Hills Golf and Country Club with world class facilities. Designed by Luke Donald, it has received the World Golf Award for six consecutive years until 2022.

The Christmas season is approaching so they provide life entertainment to liven up the atmosphere. No effort is spared at welcoming visitors for they have guest reception officers greeting/welcoming visitors at every turn you take.

Commuting by a funicular cable car system that runs on four lines at peak seasons. Now, this is the longest ride by cable car in the World. It takes about 45 minutes.

At the station, one needs to hop off. Each "car" can take up to 10 pax.

One of the hands holding the famous Golden Bridge, voted by Time Magazine as one of the "Top 10 best destinations of the World 2018" and regarded by the Guardian as "the World's most impressive pedestrian bridge".

A church left by the French as Vietnam's colonial masters. It is no longer in use as such. Another French legacy is a disused wine cellar built in 1930.

  • This thoroughfare has all the restaurants to cater for diners. The weather that day was cold and dreary for it was drizzling too. We were not able to visit many other attractions and hence I couldn't take more photos. For me, the visit was not worth it. The ticket to enter including the cable car ride costs USD45.
