Sand River Golf Club (Sar Hor in Cantonese) is Raymond's home club in Shekou. There are many Hong Kong members here because of its proximity to HK. The course has 3 nines and was designed by Gary Player from a swamp next to the Sand River. The course is slope-rated 126 and course-rated 71.4 from blue tee-boxes. In view of its swamp background, there are many water hazards, one of which is shown here. It plays to 3,388 yd for the A Nine, 3,077 for the B Nine and 3,154 for C. In view of the hazards, sometimes playing with the head is better than with the heart.
