We arrived in Otaru with Japan's No 9 typhoon for 2007, called Fitow. As Otaru is a port, there are many warehouses like these. They have been converted into restaurants, bars, pubs and such like with nice ambience although the buildings look drab from the exterior. Otaru is quaint and is obviously influenced greatly by Venice in architecture and environment. Many shops sell musical boxes and with music from such in the air, especially at night, it sounds like Heaven is sending the bright notes to Otaru.
