The onsen (hot spring bath) at the Spa Beach Resort in Hakodate. The women's bath is on the right and the men's on the left. After dinner, we took our bath here and went to bed amid howling winds. At roughly one a. m. on Sat, 8 Sep, the typhoon blew over us while we slept and went North towards Sapporo.

hehe usually bathhouses have curtains that simply say "male" and "female", but yours is special! they have the words "lord" and "lady" printed on them! how unique!

I didn't know what they meant. Anyway, we were told always go to the red curtain for ladies and to the blue for men. It's so special in hindsight.
