Since my last trip to Surabaya in 1986, there have been no drastic changes in the colonial type and older buildings then up. Today, there are, of course, many plazas and new buildings put up to house hotels and such like. Plaza Tunjungan is one such example. Here, I showcase the various types of food available in the plaza. The wong cilik (poor people) oftentimes walk past the plazas wondering at the splendour within.
