We arrived at our hotel, the Suriwongse, in Chiangmai to a traffic jam as the roads around it were closed for the Mardi Gras Festival to kick-start the tourist season. This show was the highlight of the festival. This performer is the equivalent of a Tiffany in Pattaya. Here in Chiangmai, the equivalent to Tiffany in Pattaya is Simon Chiangmai, a show featuring "boy-girls".

dax was telling me that "tiffany" is the same in meaning as a transvestite? i never knew that before! we have a mutual kendo friend called tiffany... hohoho! XD

Yes, "tiffany" used in the Thai context refers to a transvestite. The most famous of such shows in Thailand is found in Pattaya. Maybe better not let your mutual friend know this fact.
