Cambodia - Choeung Ek Genocide Centre (Killing Field)
A close up of the countless skulls within the stupa at the Choeung Ek Genocide Centre, 15 km outside PP. The centre was originally a school. Cambodians frequently come here to pay their respects and there are also graves erected with Chinese tombstones. From 1975-79, some 17,000 were killed here after being tortured and transferred from the Toul Sleng (S21) Prison nearby. This pic and the four that follow show the most famous Cambodian "Killing Field".
