A close up of the countless skulls within the stupa at the Choeung Ek Genocide Centre, 15 km outside PP. The centre was originally a school. Cambodians frequently come here to pay their respects and there are also graves erected with Chinese tombstones. From 1975-79, some 17,000 were killed here after being tortured and transferred from the Toul Sleng (S21) Prison nearby.
